BMW's Gina: The Fabric-Covered Concept Car

As reported in both Specialty Fabrics Review and Wired Blog, BMW has created a concept roadster that is skinned with a water and temperature-resistant fabric with a wire-mesh inner stabilizing layer.

I will be very interested in seeing if this prototype ever becomes a production vehicle. Hope so!

Not a big fan of the car, but I don't think this will work anyways.
This is like dream to see this picture .However to know this can be just a prothotip to be more safty thing there is nothing more . ( Of course I am very interested in what the material they may use or this is just photoshop)
Brifly just advertisment.. he he .. This is just designer dream as beginning of inovation .
But we are the textile engineer still fighting at interieer side more complicated and danger . Finding color , preventing fading color , rubbing , meet interior trents and other .So we are still inside the car while they are doing their drean at exterior .
