"Guten Tag" from Heimtextil, Frankfurt, Germany

Your blogger, Karin Miller, in the Trend forum at Heimtextil, 2009.  This is the premier international trade show where thousands of global suppliers of home textiles show their products for the floor, wall, window, bed, beach, furniture, kitchen, tabletop and wall.

I have been attending this trade show since 1990.  Heimtextil takes place each January in Frankfurt, Germany.  Six key themes were identified in “Expect the Unexpected”, the official trend presentation, associated with the show.   Below are photos of the venue, Messe Frankfurt, and the displays which are varied and often extravegant:

It is said that to walk the whole show is 45 kilometers...  needless to say, places to rest tired feet are well-utilized!
